Deferral and Course Change Policy
Registration fees will not roll forward should a rider defer entry. Those who opt to defer their registration to the following year will have guaranteed entry, but will pay the registration fees for the course of their choosing.
Registration fees are not refundable and transfers are not permitted. This means that if you register and cannot attend SBT GRVL p/b Wahoo for any reason, but your friend, partner, spouse, child, parent, sibling, etc. would like to participate, this transfer of an entry is not allowed by you or by SBT GRVL p/b Wahoo. There are no exceptions to the Transfer Policy.
Group Registration
We understand how important it is to visit Steamboat Springs and ride SBT GRVL with your friends and family and have worked with BikeReg to build a process for group registration for groups of up to 4 members. Please see the directions and important details below when registering with a group.

When you begin the registration process you will see a group registration field above the online waiver (see image below).
You will either join a group already established by your group leader, create a group yourself (thus becoming the leader) or click “no group” thus entering the random selection process as an individual.
If you are the group leader, you will name your group (for the purpose of this example the name will be “Routt GRVL”) and then create a password that YOU will give to your 3 friends/family members/partner so they can join the group when they register.
Creating the group is only the first step in the process. Your friends/partner/family members must register and JOIN the group to complete this process.
If you are joining the “Routt GRVL” group when you go to register for the random selection you will select “Routt GRVL” from the drop down menu and enter the password. You are now a member of your leader’s established group and will continue with registration.

Please note:
*Group members may select different course distances.
*Group size is limited to 4 members maximum (no exceptions)
*Being in a group does not guarantee entry via random selection (or increase/decrease your chances). Your entire group will either be selected or not selected for SBT GRVL 2026.
*Group members do not have to register at the exact same time. As long as you have the password, you can join the group anytime during the random selection registration window which goes from October 14 at 8am MT until October 31 at 11:59pm MT.
*All registration policies apply to each member of the group individually. Should someone need to defer their entry at a later date that will not affect other members of the group.
Please note: if one of the group members defers their entry you do not get to “replace” that group member after the deferral.
